Barcelona 2023

Ballymakenny College intends on offering a European trip next Easter 2023 for our 2nd year students.

It is a trip that we believe will be of great value to our students. As well as deepening friendships, it also creates a sense of community amongst the children. We have run successful trips since 2015 and the feedback from students and parents has always been positive.

We will be travelling with School Tour Company. We have used this company in the past and feel that they tailor our requirements to provide a good value tour for our students.

Parents/Guardians should familiarise themselves with the School Tour Policy of Ballymakenny College available on our website.

For our European trip, we intend to travel to Barcelona, which is both culturally and educationally enriching.

Depart Monday 10 April 2023 (Dublin or Belfast) and return on Thursday 13th April 2023.

The estimated cost of this trip is €695, and includes the following: (the cost may change slightly due to numbers availing of the trip.)

    • Dublin/Belfast - Barcelona return on scheduled airline services.
    • One small item of hand luggage per person (40x20x25cm).
    • One item of luggage per person (10kg).
    • 3 nights B&B hotel accommodation in Salou.
    • 3 evening meals served at the hotel.
    • Coach transfers on arrival and departure and continued coaching on these days (9hrs).
    • Use of coach for a visit to Barcelona or Barcelona and Montserrat.
    • Guided sightseeing tour of Barcelona.
    • Coach transfers to and from PortAventura.
    • Entrance to PortAventura theme park.
    • Entrance and self-guided tour of Nou Camp.
    • Game of bowling.
    • Fully comprehensive insurance cover.

4. Select Barcelona as the destination from the dropdown box.
5. Make the payments.

Payment Schedule

• €200 by 27^th September
• €100 by 27^th October
• €395 by 30^th January

Places are limited and dependent on availability of flights/hotel accommodation.
